Locanis AG – code of practice
Locanis is aware of its role in society and its responsibility towards customers and business partners as well as shareholders and employees. The company is therefore committed to clear principles. These form the framework for the company’s entrepreneurial and social activities.
The actions of Locanis and its employees are characterised by personal responsibility, integrity, loyalty and respect for one's fellow man and for the environment. The management bear a particular responsibility in this respect.
Key corporate goals are to supply customers with the services they require and to achieve the business success which follows from this. In doing so, Locanis relies on
- the skills, energy and commitment of its employees.
- a reliable social and political framework.
- the possibilities offered by scientific and technical progress.
The code of practice fulfils two important functions here:
On the one hand it is intended to encourage each individual employee to take responsibility and to provide them with guidance in this respect. On the other hand it sets forth the goals and principles behind Locanis’s corporate policy.
Basic principles of the code of practice
The basic principles of the code of practice, to which Locanis and its employees are committed, are as follows:
- To comply with the applicable laws and regulations at all times.
- To act in the interests of Locanis and to refrain from pursuing personal interests of an economic and/or personal nature.
- To avoid situations which could lead to conflicts in personal and economic relations. If such conflicts arise, they are to be reported immediately to the business management, who will endeavour to arrive at an ethical and moral solution to the problem.
- To refuse to accept benefits of any kind from third parties which relate to one's work at Locanis, whether this involves deriving a personal advantage or an unfair advantage for Locanis.
- To ensure that all legal requirements are fulfilled at all times, in an accurate, fair, timely and transparent manner. Locanis supports ethical and moral behaviour in the context of day-to-day working. This means, in particular, acting responsibly and in good faith, and with the greatest possible competence in all areas.
Locanis’s values
Against the background of the aforementioned principles, Locanis’s core values of trust, shaping the future, reliability, performance and customer orientation are the starting point for the actions of each Locanis employee. These values ensure a common collective identity at Locanis AG.
Compliance with the code of practice
Each Locanis employee receives a copy of the code of practice. It must become a routine part of the corporate identity and thus part of everyday working life for all Locanis employees. Management in particular are called upon to actively promote its implementation. This includes ensuring that all employees under their direction are aware of the code of practice, so that they can abide by this in practice.
In all questions relating to this code and compliance with it, each employer should first seek clarification with their superior. For example, they will clarify how individual passages of the code are to be understood or how their own behaviour in specific instances is to be measured against the standards of the code. If an employee has reason to believe that a breach of the code has been committed, by themselves or by another employee, then this too should first be looked into within their immediate department.
If this is not possible, or if this does not appear appropriate in the particular case, each employee can turn directly to the CEO. The CEO will treat each question, each report and each suggestion in strict confidence and take the appropriate measures accordingly. On request, the employee will be informed of how his report is being treated, as well as which measures, if any, have been initiated. No employee need fear any disadvantage as a result of reporting such circumstances - except possible sanctions due to a breach of this code of practice. Breaches of the code will be immediately investigated and adequate measures - of a disciplinary and/or legal nature - taken.
Miscellaneous
This Locanis code of practice is published on the internet/intranet and is accessible to all employees, customers, suppliers, partners, investors etc. Unterföhring, 20 January 2010
