Locanis AG expands its management team
Locanis AG is expanding its technology management team. The intralogistics specialist’s new Head of Hardware Development is Jochen Irmer. The 52-year-old engineer has already been with the company since 1985. Jan Sembach will be taking on the equivalent role in Software. The 38-year-old mathematician has already spent eleven years with Locanis as technical project manager. The two new contact partners will be taking over from Arne-Steffen Dehler, who is leaving the company in order to pursue new entrepreneurial challenges.
The expansion and resulting division of the technical department at Locanis had become necessary as a result of the company’s continuing international expansion. Accordingly, the two new managers see their primary task in the technological positioning and further development of products and services for the optimisation of warehouse management. Locanis AG has managed to continually expand its market share in recent years and is regarded today as the market leader in the field of navigation technology in intralogistics. The basis of this success is the goods tracking system G-Track. This is a worldwide patented, laser-supported navigation system which allows three-dimensional tracking of all goods movements, from the receipt of incoming goods to loading.&nb
