Locanis on show in the USA

  • For the first time, Locanis will be taking part in NA 2010 as an exhibitor (Box #2928). The Material Handling & Logistics Show, which will take place from 26 to 29 April 2010 in Cleveland, Ohio, USA, is one of the biggest logistics trade fairs in the USA.
  • Locanis plan to present the Locanis intelliGence intralogistics solution on an international stage and open up new market potential.

Cleveland (USA)/Munich, 1 March 2010 – The intralogistics specialists Locanis AG will be presenting their worldwide patented solution Locanis intelliGence internationally for the first time at NA 2010 (North American Material Handling & Logistics Show) from 26 to 29 April 2010 (Box #2928). The transport and logistics market is one of the fastest-growing sectors in the USA. As one of the biggest logistics trade fairs in the US, NA 2010 is therefore an attractive opportunity for Locanis to present their innovative intralogistics solution on an international stage. This year, over 20,000 visitors from more than 60 countries are expected to attend the event in Cleveland, Ohio, USA. The list of exhibitors, which contains around 500 companies, reads like a Who’s Who of the international logistics and SCM industry. In addition, the show will be accompanied by an extensive programme of workshops on the subject of future technologies and a Supply Chain Summit. Here, Bengt Tuner, CEO of Locanis, will have the opportunity to present Locanis intelliGence in a 45-minute workshop.

Locanis intelliGence allows the three-dimensional tracking of all goods movements, from the receipt of incoming goods to loading. Among other things, this makes possible automatic, continuous batch tracking and the management of dynamic storage areas as well as a permanent inventory with statistical analyses of all stock movements. According to Locanis CEO Tuner, the typical advantages of an optimised intralogistics system also include “ ... up to 15% more efficient use of existing storage areas, a reduction in capital tie-up, a reduction in energy consumption, acceleration of stock turnover, improvement of the eco-balance, and not least an improvement in operating procedures. In concrete terms, this means considerable costs savings for each company, which we even guarantee the customer”.

Based on a modular system design, Locanis intelliGence can be embedded in any environment – from small to very large. The Munich-based intralogistics specialists’ goals for 2010 are correspondingly ambitious: “On the one hand, we want to expand our market leadership in the field of navigation technology in intralogistics. On the other hand we plan to develop new market potentials and continue driving forward the international expansion of the company”, explains Bengt Tuner, CEO of Locanis AG.
