Locanis successfully enters the US market
- Locanis attended NA 2010 for the first time as an exhibitor. The Material Handling & Logistics Show in Cleveland, Ohio, is one of the largest logistics trade shows in the USA.
- Locanis successfully presented the IntelliGence platform and the clear message “Guaranteed Savings & Guaranteed Value”.
- In June the mission continues with further visits to specific customers “We are quite convinced that by the end of this year at the latest we will have one major installation up and running in the US” says Bengt Tuner, CEO Locanis AG.
On the occasion of NA 2010 (North American Material Handling & Logistics Show) Locanis AG successfully presented its worldwide patented solution Locanis Intelligence. NA 2010 is one of the largest US logistics fairs and it was an excellent opportunity for Locanis to present the “intelligence product portfolio”. The transport and logistics market is one of the fastest growing sectors in the US and the benefits of Locanis, “Guaranteed Savings & Guaranteed Value”, were met with great interest.
Locanis intelliGence allows three-dimensional tracking of all goods movements from goods receipt to shipment and with our extension modules the system will control the entire end-to-end solution in real-time. It allows the automatic, continuous batch monitoring and management of dynamic storage areas and a continuous inventory of statistical analysis of all stock movements. According to Locanis CEO Tuner, the many benefits include "... up to 40 percent better use of existing storage areas, reduction of capital, reduction of energy consumption, acceleration of inventory turns, improvement of ecological balance, and last but not least, significant improvement of all operational processes. In the end this means for any company - local or global - significant cost savings that we guarantee the customer. "
Based on a modular system design, Locanis intelligence can be embedded in any environment – Oracle, MS SQL, Web Services, Enterprise etc. - and the company's plans for 2010 are equally ambitious. In 2010 and 2011 the company will gain market share both in Germany and internationally.
The first stage in this process was successfully completed at NA2010 in Cleveland, USA. Visits were made to customers during the fair itself and further meetings with major customers were arranged in June. "We are very confident that we will have a foothold in the US market before the end of the year," said Bengt Tuner, CEO of Locanis AG.
